Overview We are seeking an experienced Electronic Automation Specialist to support and continuously improve the electrical, automation, and control systems within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining plant automation infrastructure, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, supporting capital projects, and ensuring the reliability of production systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, drives, and manufacturing automation in a fast-paced production environment. Duties Support and maintain plant electrical, automation, OT network, MES, and fire alarm systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issues to minimize production downtime. Program, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, motion control, and VFD systems. Support industrial communication networks including Ethernet/IP and other automation protocols. Maintain system backups, documentation, electrical drawings, and change management records. Lead and support automation-related continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for automation and control systems. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and startup activities. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, OEMs, and external vendors to improve equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support for plant operations, including occasional off-shift and on-call support. Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred; Siemens experience a plus). Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, motion control, and VFDs. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and process automation. Experience with industrial networking and OT infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation. Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills. Experience with MES systems and manufacturing data collection is preferred. Knowledge of food manufacturing, packaging, or consumer products manufacturing is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Technology, Automation, or a related field required.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
