Full Job Description Description:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and supporting electrical control systems and industrial control panels for Semler's liquid handling systems. They will ensure the products meet all customer specifications, established engineering standards, safety requirements, and performance expectations from the initial design phase through commissioning and service. Accountable For Creating and updating AutoCAD Electrical schematics, BOMs, and project files. Translating customer specifications into control designs, selecting and sizing electrical components, coordinating vendor panel quotes and inspections, and supporting shop wiring and testing. Designing and configuring PLC programs, HMI programs, and VFD parameters. Identifying and resolving electrical and software issues during testing, setup, and commissioning. Providing onsite and remote technical support for project start-ups, troubleshooting, service, repairs, and customer guidance.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Work Experience:
Three to five years' experience in industrial control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and troubleshooting. Experience with programming one or more of the following: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, AutomationDirect or other PLC. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Reliable transportation and availability to work required schedule. Physical Requirements Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and kneeling. Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. and occasional pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Occasional out-of-town travel required (automobile, airplane).
