Job Description
We are partnered with an i ndustry leading manufacturer in the Franklin Park, IL area seeking a Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer . This role will focus on managing Capital Equipment programs, programming Allen Bradley PLC systems, maintaining all vision systems and robotics for our clients manufacturing site. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, ensuring adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance, and electrical building codes Develop detailed schematics and system layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS tools for utility electrical systems and power distribution engineering projects Conduct power system analysis, including load flow studies, short circuit calculations, relay coordination, and protection schemes following IEEE standards Manage project schedules from conception through commissioning, coordinating with stakeholders to meet deadlines and budget objectives Oversee construction activities related to high-voltage electrical infrastructure, providing technical guidance on system troubleshooting and quality assurance Implement engineering troubleshooting techniques for complex electrical issues within AC/DC electrical systems and power electronics circuits Ensure all designs comply with safety standards including the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and relevant electrical codes while promoting best practices in energy sector engineering
