This role focuses on electrical schematics, power distribution, panel design, BOM creation, and customer-driven automation solutions. Responsibilities Design electrical control panels and cabinets using AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks. Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs). Design 3-phase power systems up to 575 VAC. Develop control circuits, power distribution systems, and component layouts. Select and integrate motors, transformers, sensors, and electrical devices. Support project estimating, startup, and customer support activities. Collaborate with electricians and engineering teams during panel build and testing. Optional PLC and HMI programming support. Required Qualifications 3-5+ years of electrical design experience. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks. Experience designing industrial control panels and electrical systems. Knowledge of 3-phase power systems up to 575 VAC. Familiarity with motors, transformers, relays, and control components. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications SolidWorks Electrical experience. PLC programming experience. HMI development experience. Industrial automation or control systems background. Experience supporting startup and commissioning activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
