Position Summary Seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong PLC expertise and bilingual Japanese/English capability to support industrial automation systems. This role involves design, programming, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with Japanese-speaking stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings Support installation, commissioning, and startup of automation equipment Collaborate with Japanese-speaking teams to translate technical requirements and documentation Perform system testing, debugging, and performance optimization Provide technical support and training to internal teams and customers Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Japanese language proficiency (business level or higher, strong reading and writing required) English proficiency (written and spoken)
Preferred:
Experience with robotics or factory automation systems Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) Experience in manufacturing environments, especially with Japanese organizations Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) Other Details Work environment: Industrial/manufacturing setting
