at IMEG Consultants Corp. in Rock Island, Illinois, United States Job Description IMEG is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical team in Rock Island, Illinois, with a primary focus on healthcare projects. In this role, you will lead design efforts, manage projects, and provide engineering solutions for complex building electrical systems. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet client needs and industry standards. Principal Responsibilities Lead and review electrical system designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software to ensure compliance with codes, IMEG quality standards, and safety requirements Perform site assessments, technical analyses, and reporting; provide technical support to resolve field issues with limited senior oversight Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and support project interviews and presentations Mentor and develop staff while staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation at IMEG Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required Professional Engineer (PE) License required 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry Adept in the technical aspects of one's discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI) Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise Ability to sell work and develop client relationships Strong training and mentoring skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
