Full-time Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, control panel design, and will play a critical role in supporting the full project lifecycle—from concept, design, quoting, installation, commissioning and ongoing support.Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical control systems for automated equipment and machinery. Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, CODESYS, etc.) and HMIs. Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical. Specify and select control components including sensors, drives, motors, and relays. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration. Provide on-site support for system installation, testing, and commissioning. Create detailed documentation including operation manuals, I/O lists, and control logic descriptions. Ensure systems comply with relevant codes and safety standards (UL, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.). Assist with project planning, budgeting, and customer communication as needed.Qualifications:
2-5+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering. Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, EtherCAT). Familiarity with VFDs, servo motors, instrumentation, and safety circuits. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs. Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team. Willingness & ability to travel to customer sites as required (up to 25%).Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Rockwell Automation, CODESYS. Knowledge of robotics, motion control, or vision systems.Compensation & Benefits:
