Job Description

Due to recent growth we are adding an Electrical & Controls Engineer position to our team. Join our well established company with exceptional leadership and company culture. This role will be responsible for a broad range of moderately to complex projects. Projects include electrical, controls and safety equipment specification, procurement and installation; facility electrical upgrades and maintenance; machine controls improvements; new automation; and projects involving electrical systems (ie. PLC, HMI, Servos, VFDs, and safety controls). Candidate will support both Logan Stampings and Fabrication facilities. Further, this role will have daily interactions with all staff, production and maintenance personnel within both facilities. Candidate will also work closely with our Worthington Enterprises Corporate Support Engineering team.
Additional responsibilities:
Project management responsibilities for successful planning, preparation & execution Work with plant personnel to identify project needs and develop scope and objectivesDevelop/manage project budget and schedules Develop documents needed for approval of funding, Support maintenance/integration team and communicate project status/metrics to senior management Manufacturing background with capital project experience is required Fundamental knowledge of electrical system design and and machine controls design techniquesFundamental knowledge of machine and facility electrical repair and troubleshooting practicesFundamental knowledge with applicable codes and standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 79, ANSI
B11, ISO
13849, etc) Fluent understanding of preventive maintenance best practices of electrical infrastructure ((ie. switch gear, transformers, busways, etc) Proficiency in ability to specify, build, and troubleshoot machine control systems (including safety controls), PLC/HMI software, three phase power/circuits, hydraulic circuits, pneumatic circuits and ethernet networking Proficiency in FANUC robotics application and programming is highly desired

Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and organizational skills Self-motivated and sound decision-making skills Hands-on and independent contributor who can also excel in a team environment Facility resource for troubleshooting and problem solving of electrical and controls issues
Computer/Electrical Controls:
Proficient with computer-based 2D & 3D software (i.e., ACAD, SolidWorks) for creating/maintaining facility electrical distribution schematics and machine level electrical schematics Proficient with Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Keyence (and other) software for programming PLC's, HMI's, servo drives, VFDs, safety controllers, etc. Proficient with safety PLC programming and safety circuit wiring practices Fluent understanding of 480VAC, 220VAC, 208VAC, 120VAC & 24VDC circuits
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical (4 Year ABET Accredited College Degree preferred) or experience in lieu of degree 3 plus years related experience.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
