KW Custom Controls, LLC designs and manufactures factory-built control buildings that support utility-scale power generation and distribution, renewable energy, data center, and industrial markets. With strong demand expected to continue, our engineering department is expanding to meet industry needs and drive innovation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. This role will focus on the electrical design and integration of factory-built control buildings, while also incorporating aspects of building layout. The ideal candidate will bring design experience with power distribution systems, control systems, and design software to help us deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with structural engineers and customers on overall building layout and integration Develop electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics for control buildings Integrate customer-furnished electrical distribution components, including motor control centers (MCCs), switchgear, and control systems Create and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD (2D) Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and client specifications Support project managers and manufacturing teams throughout the project lifecycle Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide engineering support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and system integration, preferably with power distribution equipment, MCCs, switchgear, and control systems Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and industry practices Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Experience in the utility, renewable energy, data center, or industrial or modular building sectors preferred Knowledge of project management practices Strong communication and organizational skills

$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
