Role Overview:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will develop and refine BMS hardware from concept through certification, working on everything from voltage sensing to cell balancing and system integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring complex hardware and embedded software solutions to life, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance in a high-stakes environment. Your expertise will contribute directly to safer, more efficient aerospace energy storage solutions.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years experience designing lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS) Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and PCB schematic creation Strong knowledge of cell sensing, protection, isolation, and balancing circuits for lithium batteries Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and results-driven focus Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to troubleshoot and validate hardware prototypes effectively Nice to

Have Skills:

Experience designing to environmental and EMI standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810/461, or

RTCA DO-311

Familiarity with LiFePO4 chemistry and battery safety standards Knowledge of

DFM & DFT

principles Experience supporting embedded microcontroller software and certification processes

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) 5+ years designing BMS for aviation or similar high-reliability industries Demonstrated success in product lifecycle management, from initial design to field application
