Job Description

Job Overview The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, maintenance, reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and controls within the facility. The Electrical Engineer collaborates with plant personnel to maximize equipment uptime, improve plant performance, and support capital projects. Duties Maintain and improve the reliability of plant electrical distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment failures to minimize production downtime. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical assets. Analyze root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions. Support and maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication systems. Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues affecting process performance. Work with process engineers to implement process improvements and control enhancements. Lead or support capital improvement projects involving electrical and control systems. Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, regulations, and company standards. Support electrical safety programs, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and electrical hazard assessments. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve system efficiency. Analyze equipment performance data and develop reliability improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering 2+ years of experience within an industrial environment or 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial environment in lieu of degree Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent). Extensive knowledge of
NFPA 70, NEC, NFPA
70E, and applicable electrical safety regulations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office Familiarity with DCS and SCADA systems. (Preferred)

From $105,000.00 per year
