Job Summary:
IPG interns will hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment tackling real time manufacturing challenges. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a process improvement or development project, the results of which will be presented to your team at the end of the summer. At the conclusion of your time with IPG, you will have gained unique knowledge and lifelong connections.
Job Functions:
Experience semiconductor laser packaging and testing equipment Support engineers in the areas of improving and upgrading automated manufacturing stations, laser test procedures and equipment Analyze performance statistics and provide feedback for manufacturing step optimization Support production engineers in troubleshooting hardware/software issues Qualify manufacturing processes through yield, performance, repeatability studies
Requirements Education:
Must be enrolled in 3rd year of a relevant engineering degree program with a College or University, preferred disciplines:
Electrical Engineering Experience:
Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices Familiarity with robotics and some experience with scientific instruments are a plus Familiarity with QC tools, engineering data statistical analysis MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio)
Required:
Must be able to work 5 days per week from the IPG facility located in Oxford, MA Must have reliable transportation to/from work Location(s) 50 Old Webster Road, Oxford , Massachusetts 01540 , United States Employment Type Non-Exempt US Benefits Information For temps paid directly by IPG. Temps paid by an agency are not eligible for benefits.
Pay Range:
The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Benefits Interns receive:
  • Medical Insurance (BCBS Saver Plan, no company match)
  • eligible after 90 days of continuous employment based on scheduled hours per week.
  • 401k (Age 21+ eligible after 1,000 hours of continuous employment).
