Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking a detailed-oriented and collaborative System Safety Engineer to support the execution of comprehensive system safety programs for advanced defense applications. In this mid-level role, you will assist in ensuring that hardware, electrical, and architectural systems meet rigorous military safety standards. You will work across multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing technical designs and contributing to safety assessments from program start through execution. Day in the

Assist with the development and implementation ofMIL-STD-882E
compliant system safety program Perform criticalMIL-STD-882
System Safety Program tasks, including management (100 series), analysis (200 series), evaluation (300 series), and verification (400 series) Assist with the analysis of engineering hardware, electrical drawings, and schematics to assess for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety compliance Review test and tactical operating/maintenance procedures to ensure proper administrative controls are implemented Collaborate across integrated product teams to identify and eliminate hazards, providing creative solutions that maximize safety without impeding system performance Assist with designing testable safety requirements, analyzing existing requirements, and preparing Safety Assessment Reports and analytical documentation Assist in preparing safety briefs for customer approval and support the briefing of safety data at technical reviews Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications & Experience:
Active Secret clearance is required 2 years of experience in system safety engineering, hardware/electrical analysis, or a related technical defense role Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline Practical experience working withMIL-STD-882E
standards and assisting with its associated analysis task series Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings for hazard identification Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with internal engineering disciplines, program offices, vendors, and customer representatives Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.Full benefits:
