Job Description

Electrical Test Engineer Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to support the development and validation of next-generation hardware systems within a research and development environment. This role focuses on test development, system validation, and reliability testing during the design phase rather than production testing. Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to define test strategies, developing and executing test plans aligned with product requirements, and troubleshooting electrical and control system issues. The engineer will design and build test fixtures, perform hands-on hardware testing, and collect and analyze test data to ensure product performance and reliability. This position requires strong lab-based technical expertise, including the use of industry-standard electrical test equipment and the ability to debug complex electronic systems at the component level. The role also involves documenting results, communicating findings to stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing methodologies. Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience Hands-on hardware testing or validation experience (R D or product development) Experience working in lab environments and executing structured test procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with reliability testing, validation methodologies, and data collection practices Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences Ability to translate requirements into actionable test strategies
NICE TO HAVE
Experience working with Linux/Unix systems Board-level soldering (SMD) and rework experience Experience with automation or scripting; matlab, python, labview Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.30 - $68.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
