We offer world-leading engineering services across the realm of power delivery including owner's engineering and detailed design. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Substation Physical team. With guidance from a professional engineer, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for HV substations for utilities and connection of renewable generation
Attending site visits to gather information and assess site conditions for substation design.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design consistency and proper alignment across all engineering outputs to meet project requirements.
Actively participating in project, client, and team meetings
Reviewing, preparing, and modifying designs
Prepare design drawing, specifications, and reports
Assist in proposal and manhours estimation
Ability to use CDEGS and WinIGS (Grounding studies per IEEE80)
Ability to design lightning protection per IEEE
proficiency in AutoCAD
Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management
Undertaking a 'digital by default' approach in deliverables

Supporting our 'Purpose' in everything you do You are a team player who is comfortable liaising with stakeholders internally and externally with an exceptional ability to communicate orally and through written correspondence. You have a strong work ethic and take pride and accountability in your duties and accomplishments as an individual. You are a multitasker who can work on multiple projects at once. You enjoy fast-paced, dynamic projects and teams, and have the following qualifications. A minimum a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in electrical engineering, with an emphasis in high voltage power engineering preferred. Demonstrable interest in energy projects through relevant experience, such as your field of study, internships, volunteering, or relevant association memberships. Methodical approach to problem solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently. Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members. Wonderful written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to facilitate the preparation of accurate technical drawings and with strong technical writing skills. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
