Job Description

This client is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager who will lead and contribute to the development of embedded systems for medical and robotics applications. You'll manage a team while remaining active in technical tasks, overseeing architecture decisions, and collaborating across engineering teams. This is a full time position that is onsite north of Boston, MA. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 10+ years of relevant experience Extensive experience in developing embedded systems, including hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD Familiarity with circuit simulation software (ex. SPICE) Strong grasp of digital and analog circuit design principles Comfortable with communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet Skilled at debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to define system and hardware architecture Previous experience in a leadership or management level role Desired Skills & Experience Experience in regulated industries, ideally medical technology or life sciences (knowledge of 60601 and/or 61010 standards is a plus) Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders Experience supporting business development and quoting new projects What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 40% Embedded System Design 30% PCB Layout and Hardware Architecture 30% Firmware Development Daily Responsibilities 70% Hands On 20% Management Duties 10% Team Collaboration The Offer You will receive the following benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance PTO 401k Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
