- Summary Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this PositionROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
As an Advanced Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role on the GDMS Free Space Optical (FSO) communications team, supporting the electrical design, development, integration, and test of hardware as we mature our work from prototype to product. You will contribute across multiple concurrent programs spanning space, airborne, and tactical ground domains, applying sound engineering practices to design, build, test, and deliver reliable electrical systems. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful technical work while growing alongside a collaborative, experienced engineering team. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:- Analog and mixed-signal circuit design: Design and analyze power, high-speed signal, sensor, and control circuits for FSO hardware.
- PCB design and bring-up: Create schematics and board layouts, coordinate fabrication/assembly, and troubleshoot boards through prototype bring-up and test.
- Electrical integration and test: Develop test approaches, use lab equipment to verify performance, and resolve hardware issues in integrated optical communication systems.

Workplace Options:
This position is fully on-site with occasional Hybrid/Flex available. While on-site, you will be a part of the Annapolis Junction, MD team. Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined Salary Range USD $124,445.00- USD $134,653.
