Systems Engineer Job Description We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Systems Engineer to join our team. This role requires a hands-on project engineer who is not only skilled at coordinating but also actively engages in design and testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical experience and be adept at scheduling, task sequencing, and execution tracking. Proficiency with JIRA is a significant advantage. Responsibilities Actively participate in design and testing, contributing to system architectures, block diagrams, design trades, and technical decisions. Lead test efforts by writing test plans and procedures, supporting and executing tests, and driving issue resolution with follow-up actions. Derive, allocate, and manage system requirements, even when customer requirements are incomplete or evolving. Produce system documentation including system descriptions, interfaces, and test artifacts. Coordinate cross-functional teams effectively and independently with minimal oversight. Communicate effectively with strong people skills, focusing on moving programs forward and closing actions. Essential Skills Requirements gathering Systems engineering Project management Project engineering Proficiency in JIRA BS degree with 5- 8 years of experience in electro-mechanical and related systems Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in interacting with software, hardware, and electrical teams. Integration testing and requirements analysis. Ability to define and conduct experiments to identify root causes of interdisciplinary technical problems. Capability to analyze alternate approaches and develop practical solutions to complex problems. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elkridge, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $62.50/hr.
