Summary of Position As we grow, we are seeking to hire a School Counselor who will be responsible for assisting in monitoring and enhancing the quality of student life. Reporting to the School Principal, the School Counselor will help foster a positive, engaging and caring atmosphere by providing programming and opportunities that enable students to flourish. The individual will proactively communicate and work with administration, teachers, staff and parents. Support Grade Level teachers and staff to manage their advisory teams and respond appropriately to student issues. Oversee disciplinary issues, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure compliance with school policies. Implement a positive behavior management system that is consistent with the school's mission, pillars and philosophy. Qualifications for School Counselor Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field. Master's degree highly beneficial Minimum 2 years of K-12 counseling experience Experience in K-12 student advising, counseling and student program management. Demonstrates strong writing and communication skills, a capacity for organization and follow-through, collaboration, and flexibility. Has a growth mindset and a commitment to meeting the needs of every student.
