We're seeking an Electrical Engineer with an ABET degree and substation layout expertise to lead vital high-voltage distribution projects across the territory.

Bay City, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $40 - 50 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Serve as the subject matter expert in layout engineering, leading multi-discipline high-voltage substation projects from initial scoping through execution.

Develop engineering and construction scope, prepare equipment purchase specifications, and estimate labor, material, and construction costs for budget preparation.

Represent Our Client as the design authority for substation layouts while coordinating internal and external engineering services and providing technical reviews.

Regularly report project status, technical risks, quality control, cost, and schedule progress to department leadership.

Conduct frequent field visits across active construction zones, undeveloped sites, and energized substations for pre-engineering assessments, inspections, and troubleshooting.

qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Electrical preferred) or non-ABET equivalent, paired with relevant technical engineering experience.

Technical Expertise & Software:

Expert knowledge of electric utility distribution planning and three-phase AC power operations, with proficiency in design software, MicroStation, ProjectWise, and SAP.
