Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing control systems that enhance manufacturing processes and industrial automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and systems engineering, with expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), circuit design, and embedded systems. Your work will ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems and automation technologies, supporting operational efficiency and safety standards across diverse industrial environments. Duties Design and develop PLC/HMI control systems for custom machinery from concept through commissioningProgram and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix/CompactLogix, RSLogix/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk) platforms; Omron PLC experience a plusSupport and program Keyence vision/sensor systems on select projectsDevelop electrical schematics and panel layouts (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)Perform on-site startup, debugging, and commissioning at customer facilitiesCollaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams throughout the design processCreate and maintain documentation: control narratives, I/O lists, wiring diagrams Requirements3+ years of controls engineering experience, ideally with custom/special machine buildersStrong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk/Studio 5000Exposure to Omron and/or Keyence platforms preferredExperience with servo/motion control, VFDs, and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP)Ability to travel for on-site commissioning as neededDegree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related field (or equivalent experience) #
