Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer Gulfport, MS | In-Person | $90,000 - $110,000+ /yr | Full-Time A well established and growing architecture and engineering firm with a multi decade track record across the Southeast is hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join their expanding building systems team. This is a team that cares about their people and offers real room to grow into greater project ownership.
What You'll Do:
Personally design and draft electrical systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit, no handing designs off to a separate CAD team Develop power distribution systems and one-line diagrams Design lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems, and prepare accurate panel schedules Perform lighting calculations, branch circuiting, and load calculations Write and maintain project specifications and construction documents Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver code compliant designs Work across a mix of education, municipal, and commercial building projects Support projects from concept through construction administrationWhat You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Hands-on AutoCAD experience required, Revit MEP experience a strong plus Experience with building electrical systems such as power, lighting, fire alarm, or low voltage K-12, education, municipal, or institutional project experience is a big plus 5kV or 15kV medium voltage experience is a strong plus PE, EIT, or FE, or interest in pursuing PE licensure, is a plus but not required Working knowledge of NEC and applicable local codesWhat's In It For You:
