Trebro Manufacturing is looking for a hands-on engineer who wants to design, improve, test, and help build real equipment. Our primary need is someone with a strong mechanical engineering and drafting background, but we are also very interested in electrical engineers who have solid mechanical aptitude and enjoy working across disciplines. What you'll be doing: Designing and developing new equipment, systems, and components Research & development of new concepts and technologies Improving existing Trebro equipment Mechanical design and engineering Creating and maintaining detailed drawings and manufacturing documentation Working with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Troubleshooting problems and developing practical solutions Working directly with manufacturing and assembly teams to take designs from an idea to a finished machine Testing designs in the real world and improving them based on what we learn This isn't an engineering position where you'll spend your entire career staring at a computer screen. We build equipment. You'll get to see your ideas become steel, hydraulics, wiring, moving parts, and ultimately machines operating in the field. Some travel will be required for field testing, customer visits, research, and equipment development — typically averaging about one week per quarter. We're especially interested in people with experience in: Mechanical engineering and machine design CAD and mechanical drafting Electrical engineering and controls Hydraulics Mobile equipment Agricultural equipment Manufacturing and fabrication Product development and R&D Agriculture or agricultural equipment experience is a strong plus. Technical ability matters, but the intangibles matter just as much.
