Job Description
Genesis Technical is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Billings, Montana office location to lead electrical engineering delivery across a portfolio of projects. •Alternate location: Bismarck, ND Overview In this role, you will provide advanced electrical engineering services to Client and its customers, offering technical leadership, oversight, and supervision within the electrical engineering team. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient delivery across oil, gas, and chemical projects. This includes guiding technical direction, reviewing deliverables, and driving performance to meet project objectives, safety standards, and client expectations. Responsibilities Manage a team of electrical engineers and designers and oversee their work on oil/gas/chemical projects. Plan, organize and direct engineering work, ensuring on-time completion, safety-in-design and quality outcomes from conception to completion. Collaborate with project management, client, other disciplines to meet project objectives. May lead one or more projects while providing guidance for other lead engineers within the program. Maintain relationship with project management and client to ensure satisfaction with the quality and progress of the project. Candidate shall have the ability to communicate effectively (written, emails, verbal) with the team and with management, and shall possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills; shall have the ability to motivate, create a positive work environment, helping the team to learn, grow and work together to achieve common goals. Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Client, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget. Initiate, manage and if required supervise electrical engineering project requirements. Perform electrical engineering services such as: participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures. ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes. provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders. If required, act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.
