Job Description
Eaton's Electrical Sector - ARS division is growing and currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer based onsite at our Arden, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available for candidates currently residing in the US. In this role, the Electrical Design Engineer will provide Customer Order Engineering (COE) or Engineered to Order (ETO) support and designs for the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) product line. This includes participating in engineering electrical/mechanical designs and collaboration with direct Customers/Field Sales. This position will interface with other departments including manufacturing, supply chain, operational excellence (OPEX) and quality. This role will also participate in engineering standards development for repeat Custom Order Engineering (COE) Automatic Transfer Switch designs to reduce variability in manufacturing builds and support VAVE/Cost out activities and design related process improvements. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71.000 - $105,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do:
- Design and develop a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provide sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser's equipment application per UL 1008 and other applicable standards.
- Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
- Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
- Advises ETO/COE technician, Manufacturing and Purchasing (as needed) in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser's requirements.
- Consults with the Quality Department in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
- Manages assigned small to medium sized projects to completion in meeting deadlines.
- Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
- Interfaces daily with remote Eaton engineering locations including Juarez, MX and Pune, IN in the processing of customer orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electromechancial, or mechatronics engineering (or similar) from an accredited institution.
