We are a small but growing company with an experienced team of engineers, so it's an opportunity for the right candidate to learn and develop a diverse skillset. This is probably an entry level position for a candidate that would like to get hands-on experience in manufacture and design, but applications are open for all candidates. Initially the hours will depend on the availability of other personnel for training, but typically within 7:30 AM-5:00 PM (M-F). Once trained, hours are very flexible. Pay is dependent upon qualifications. Candidates must be permanent residents or citizens of the US. Job Duties
- Build and test systems for delivery to customers and distributors
- Document assembly and test processes
- Suggest and implement improvements to product design and manufacturing processes
- Build and test prototypes to validate new designs and software releases
- Help with engineering tasks such as cable design, firmware programming, electronics design and/or mechanical design.
- Work from written/verbal instructions, technical manuals, engineering specifications or schematics. Minimum Required Skills/Experience
- Technical acumen and ability to learn independently.
- Proficient using hand tools to build mechanical and/or electronic assemblies. This is essential.
- Proficient using computers for testing and operating equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical testing used in a lab environment
- Ability to work in a group environment
- Good oral and written communication skills Other Valuable Skills/Experience
- The ideal candidate would have an associate degree in electrical engineering, either received or in-progress.
