Job Description

Location:
Somerset, NJ — Whitman is a multi-disciplinary firm seeking a full-time electrical engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team based out of the Somerset, New Jersey office. We are looking for an engineer who wants to continue their career growth designing sustainable electrical systems for buildings and photovoltaic solar design. This position will require working on multiple projects concurrently, managing demanding schedules and working with a team of engineers to design projects for our clients. This requires the candidate to be self-motivated, independent, results-oriented and able to re-prioritize as required. This position provides the opportunity to learn and grow technical competency by receiving on-the-job related training under the supervision of a senior electrical professional engineer working on a wide variety of residential, commercial, public and light industrial projects. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of professional experience. EIT certification is plus, but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD required. REVIT knowledge and experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to visit project sites. Knowledge of electrical and building codes and standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC). The ability to perform power system studies using SKM software is a plus
Salary Range:
$80,000 to $95,000 annually
