Job Description

Job Description A Norwalt Electrical Controls Engineer will use information provided by customer spec, mechanical engineering team, and project managers to create electrical schematics using a CAD or electrical drawing software package. Norwalt is an Engineer to Order (ETO) company and therefore provides unique and custom machinery to meet the needs of its customers. Therefore, the machines employees are exposed to are always unique and evolve with technological advancements. Machines are assembled at Norwalt starting with a bare frame then built and tested prior to shipping to Norwalt customer facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering team to develop quality electrical control schematics
  • Create bill of materials for all required electrical components
  • Work with purchasing department to order and receive material in a timely manner
  • Work with electrical departments to oversee control panel layout, and machine frame wiring
  • Create final electrical controls package to be shipped with machines
  • Program HMI's PLC's, servo motors, visions systems, and robots Qualification Requirements
  • 2-year technical degree or demonstrable experience in control system design and plc programming
  • Knowledge of industrial control components
  • Basic knowledge of electrical controls design
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and ethernet communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrable experience with AutoCad drafting software
  • Experience with electrical Cad package E-Plan
  • Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, Beckhoff a plus
  • Ability to follow directions
