Job Description
- Principal Electrical Engineer
- We design and build VPX-style embedded computing cards for high reliability control systems.
Salary Information:
- $160,000 - $180,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.
Location:
- Farmingdale, NY
- Your Challenge
- Digital & Embedded Circuit Design + Translate product-level requirements into implementable digital circuits and complete schematic designs + Design mixed-signal and digital circuits for embedded systems, including interfacing of Processors/DSP, FPGA/CPLD, Flash, RAM and related memory and logic devices + Capture schematics and create symbol designs from manufacturer part data sheets: build and maintain the component databook/library PCB/PWB Layout & Routing + Lead PWB Design and layout, creating part types and PCB decals from part data sheets + Create board outlines from industry specifications including PCI, VME and VPX form factors.
- What You Bring
- + BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) required, with 10+ years of relevant experience in circuit board design + US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance + Experience designing digital and mixed-signal circuits for embedded system in high-reliability environments.
- Nice to have
- + Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar) preferred + Experience with
MIL-DTL-23200
requirements + Experience with AS9100 requirements and process flow + Experience with schematic capture with PADS Design, PWB layout with PADS Layout and routing with PADS Router. + Experience with writing VHDL code, simulation, debugging capability and FPGA design for high assurance products + Experience with the Agile Development Process and the Atlassian Tool Suite + Experience withANSI/VITA VPX
