Lead software and controls development efforts from concept through implementation Develop control law models using MATLAB/Simulink Design and implement embedded software for real-time systems Design analog circuitry, power electronics, and motor drive hardware Develop Brushless DC (BLDC) motor control solutions Design automated test equipment and validation systems Perform hardware integration, verification, validation, and qualification testing Generate technical documentation, requirements, traceability, and compliance documentation Present technical solutions and test results to both internal teams and customers Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to bring new products to market What We're Looking For We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building complete systems and solving technically challenging problems. Ideal Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline 10+ years of experience developing embedded control systems Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink and control system modeling Experience developing embedded software using C/C++ Experience with real-time embedded systems and microcontrollers Analog circuit and power supply design experience Experience designing motor control systems, preferably Brushless DC motors Strong systems integration and troubleshooting skills Also Valuable FPGA development RTCA DO-178, DO-254, or DO-330 National Instruments or automated testing platforms ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet, or other aerospace communication protocols Python, Visual Studio, or Windows application development Avionics or aerospace electronics development What Makes Someone Successful Passionate about engineering and continuous learning Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems Hands-on and equally comfortable in the lab and behind a computer Collaborative while capable of working independently A strong communicator who enjoys mentoring others and working across disciplines Motivated by building products that make a real impact A Few Requirements Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to controlled technology, candidates must qualify as "U.S. Persons" under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 CFR 120-130.
