  • $135,000 Job Description We are seeking an experienced and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment while fully embodying our core values of Deploy Faster, Operate with Confidence, and Design with Purpose. The ideal candidate will streamline processes to execute projects efficiently, ensure exceptional quality, safety, and reliability through rigorous testing and compliance, and bring intentional, forward-thinking solutions to complex engineering challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems across a variety of applications and deliver scalable, high-impact results that support our mission and drive continuous improvement. What You'll Do
  • Develop and design electrical systems, circuits, and components based on project requirements, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform load calculations, power distribution analysis, and other design-related calculations to ensure compliance with industry and aerospace standards and safety regulations.
  • Build prototypes of electrical systems, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide production liaison support to ensure the systems function as designed.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including cable and wire harness assemblies, wiring diagrams, wire routing, and design specifications for project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
  • Ensure all electrical designs adhere to safety and design standards, codes (such as
NEC, IEC, SAE
(i.e. AS50881)), and any other regulatory requirements (i.e. environmental, electromagnetic, flammability, etc.).
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies and propose innovations that improve system performance, cost, and energy efficiency.
  • Plan and conduct tests to ensure that systems meet required performance and design standards, and work on improving the quality and reliability of electrical systems. What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a similar role within the defense industry.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or other similar electrical design software. Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Will be required to qualify for and maintain at least a Secret Security Clearance.
