Electrical Engineer IIJob Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced industrial equipment utilized in vacuum processing applications. The candidate will be responsible for creating reliable and manufacturable electrical systems, employing engineering design tools and industry best practices. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical design and the ability to contribute to projects from concept through implementation in a custom manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Design and detail electrical components and systems for safe, reliable equipment operation. Design electrical power distribution systems for vacuum and process equipment. Design and document equipment control systems. Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in the corporate ERP system. Perform prototype assembly, wiring, testing, and validation of components and sub-modules. Execute cost-effective engineering improvements to reduce the cost of existing components. Support engineering projects to meet schedule, cost, quality, and performance targets. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Occasional domestic travel may be required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical engineering and design. Experience with AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). Experience with circuit board design and controls, preferably using Altium. Strong skills in wiring diagram and schematic design. Understanding of how software relates to hardware in control systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of electrical design experience. Strong CAD experience with electrical drawings and schematics. Proficiency with industry compliance codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE. Work Environment The engineering team consists of six members and collaborates closely with mechanical engineers, the software team, and other electrical engineers. The work involves both design and production floor activities on a daily and weekly basis. The role offers the opportunity to design and develop custom equipment, supporting industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, medical devices, optics, research, and advanced manufacturing. The organization has a global customer base and an international presence with facilities around the world. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clairton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
