Electrical Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking an entry to mid-level Electrical Design Engineer to support the development and improvement of standard power supply products. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in power electronics and custom power supply design within a collaborative engineering environment. The successful candidate will assist with circuit design, simulation, PCB development, testing, troubleshooting, and prototype validation while working closely with engineers. Responsibilities Design and support standard AC/DC and DC/DC power supply products. Create and maintain electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation. Perform circuit simulations and assist with design verification activities. Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation using laboratory equipment. Support prototype builds and engineering evaluations. Analyze test data and recommend design improvements. Collaborate with engineers on custom power supply development projects. Interface with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support product development. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals. Basic knowledge of analog circuits and power electronics. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take direction from engineers. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Altium, KiCad, Eagle, ECAD, LTspice, Pspice. Knowledge of buck boost, flyback topologies. Electronic troubleshooting experience. PCB layout expertise. Internship, laboratory, design project, or co-op experience preferred. Work Environment The position is situated within a collaborative engineering environment, providing access to laboratory equipment for testing and validation tasks. Engineers are expected to interface with manufacturing and cross-functional teams, ensuring a comprehensive approach to product development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
