: Seeking full time Electrical Engineer with 7 + years post-graduation experience.
Able to develop electrical construction plans and specifications for multiple types of buildings and facilities. Work includes lighting, power and low voltage systems. Detailed understanding of generation systems (prime, standby and emergency) as well as with building codes and NEC is required.
Perform electrical calculations for loads, short circuit and breaker studies to produce high quality deliverables for our clients. Demonstrated success working with team members across all disciplines. The selected candidate will work with the current Electrical Department staff and report directly to Vice President of Operations. Potential for advancement for the successful candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Professional Engineer
Experience in consulting engineering environment is strongly preferred
Computer Skills:
Competency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of updated building codes and requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of post-graduation experience in the design of electrical systems of buildings
ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES PREFERRED
Experience in consulting engineering environment is strongly preferred
Experience with micro grids and prime power generation
Effective interpersonal and people management ability
Design experience using AutoCAD or Revit
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) with your collaboration with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
Interest/experience in the application of green engineering principles; LEED AP certification is a definite asset
