Job Description

Position Overview One of our clients is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for a diverse range of projects while developing into a future Electrical Department Manager role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring staff, building client relationships, and helping shape the future of a growing engineering firm. What You'll Do Lead electrical design for new construction and renovation projects Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systems Prepare construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, process, architectural, and structural teams Interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders Mentor junior engineers and designers Support quality control, project planning, and technical standards development Participate in construction administration and field services Contribute to departmental growth, staffing, and leadership initiatives What We're Looking For Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License 8+ years of consulting engineering experience Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable energy codes Experience leading electrical building system designs from concept through construction Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, industrial, or food & beverage facility experience Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD Controls integration and PLC knowledge Experience mentoring engineers and technical staff Prior supervisory or team leadership experience Career Growth Opportunity This position offers a defined leadership path for candidates interested in advancing into an Electrical Department Manager role.
