Preferred Skills and Experience Demonstrated expertise in electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation. Experience with Altium Designer. Experience developing products for the lighting and/or LED industry. Experience with firmware development or embedded systems programming. Familiarity with embedded hardware and software integration. Experience taking products from concept through development and commercialization.
The range for this position is $66,500.00 to $119,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location. This position requires on-site presence in Decatur, GA, following a hybrid work model. Job Summary This role is responsible for new product design, cost reductions, field quality resolution, manufacturing support and sustaining engineering activities related to Electronics & Light Engines. The successful Sr. Electronics Engineer will provide independent product ideation, electronics hardware design, firmware creation/updates, LED selection, PCB design/layout creation, UV/Horticulture designs, PCBA drawing creation along with selection of drivers, surge protection devices, emergency battery backup equipment and luminaire electronic controls. Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, and assembling prototypes/samples required for evaluating designs and cost reductions. This engineer will manage many projects simultaneously while collaborating with cross functional engineering members of the design team, teach and mentor other Electronics Engineers, engage with Focus Factory and Product management to ensure a successful and on-time product launch.
