We are seeking a Chief Engineer - Electrical / I&C to lead and advance our electrical and instrumentation & controls disciplines. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who thrives in a technically rigorous environment and is passionate about mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement. Hybrid work is preferred, with candidates ideally based in: Charlotte, NC, or Mt. Laurel, NJ Remote options available The Opportunity As Chief Engineer, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for the Electrical and I&C disciplines, ensuring engineering excellence across projects and proposals. Working closely with Engineering leadership, project teams, and Business Development, you will help shape design standards, engineering processes, staffing strategies, and long‑term discipline growth. What You'll Do Lead and develop Electrical and I&C engineering teams across multiple projects. Serve as the lead technical authority, ensuring quality, code compliance, and best practices. Establish and improve discipline standards, tools, work processes, and productivity benchmarks. Provide technical guidance, independent design reviews, and critical engineering oversight. Support project execution through design basis development, cost estimates, schedules, and major specifications. Analyze engineering performance metrics (PI/SPI) and support recovery planning when needed. Guide staffing, recruiting, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning. Support proposal development and client presentations. Collaborate with leadership on business strategies and long‑term objectives. What You Bring B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role, within conventional and/or nuclear power generation. Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain via comity). Strong technical judgment, leadership, and mentoring skills. Experience with project performance metrics and tools such as PRISM and Primavera P6. Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship‑building abilities.
