- 1000+ Patents Job Summary Electrical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design and development of industrial electronic access control products.
- Design and develop control systems and embedded code for microprocessor-based electronic products according to product specifications and custom application requirements.
- Perform embedded microprocessor-based circuit design, PCB layout, testing, and troubleshooting for electrical and electromechanical systems from prototype through production.
- Apply industry-accepted design for manufacturability standards and EMC compliance practices.
- Prepare product documentation in accordance with ISO design process standards, including schematics, drawings, manufacturing bills of materials, and customer documentation.
- Develop embedded firmware and production-based test routines using common programming languages.
- Support mechanical engineers and contribute to the design process for electronic and electromechanical new product development according to ISO guidelines.
- Support manufacturing engineers, assembly personnel, vendors, and fabricators by participating in root cause analysis of production and development system functional failures.
- Provide engineering, tooling, and piece-part cost estimates.
- Regularly interface with internal and external customers regarding product specifications and product performance for development and production designs. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience with electrical, electronics, and/or electromechanical products.
- Experience with analog and digital electronic design concepts, electronic component selection, circuit design, PCB layout, and firmware development.
- Demonstrated experience in electromechanical design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
