  • 1000+ Patents Job Summary Electrical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design and development of industrial electronic access control products.
This position creates electronic designs based on sound engineering principles, interaction with mechanical systems, customer and industry specifications, and cost-effective hardware, firmware, and software solutions. This role supports the product development process from early specification development through production troubleshooting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems and embedded code for microprocessor-based electronic products according to product specifications and custom application requirements.
  • Perform embedded microprocessor-based circuit design, PCB layout, testing, and troubleshooting for electrical and electromechanical systems from prototype through production.
  • Apply industry-accepted design for manufacturability standards and EMC compliance practices.
  • Prepare product documentation in accordance with ISO design process standards, including schematics, drawings, manufacturing bills of materials, and customer documentation.
  • Develop embedded firmware and production-based test routines using common programming languages.
  • Support mechanical engineers and contribute to the design process for electronic and electromechanical new product development according to ISO guidelines.
  • Support manufacturing engineers, assembly personnel, vendors, and fabricators by participating in root cause analysis of production and development system functional failures.
  • Provide engineering, tooling, and piece-part cost estimates.
  • Regularly interface with internal and external customers regarding product specifications and product performance for development and production designs. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience with electrical, electronics, and/or electromechanical products.
  • Experience with analog and digital electronic design concepts, electronic component selection, circuit design, PCB layout, and firmware development.
  • Demonstrated experience in electromechanical design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Pay:
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
