The role focuses on medium- and low-voltage systems, bill of materials preparation, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects meet schedule, cost and safety requirements. The Senior Electrical Engineer will mentor junior staff, interface with clients and contractors, and use engineering and project software to manage design documentation and procurement workflows. Key Responsibilities Lead design and engineering of medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems, including single-line diagrams, protective device coordination, and grounding systems. Prepare and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM), equipment specifications, and material takeoffs for procurement and cost estimating. Create, review and issue construction drawings and submittals using AutoCAD and markups in Bluebeam; manage drawing revisions and document control. Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical, controls, civil and construction teams to ensure seamless integration and installation. Use ERP systems to track materials, place purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules and update project cost reports. Provide on-site and remote construction support, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning assistance as required. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and client specifications (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC) and implement best practices for safety and reliability. Mentor and train junior engineers and designers, perform technical reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes. Participate in project planning, scope development, scheduling and risk identification; support proposals and technical sales efforts when needed. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) 5+years of relevant experience designing medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems Proven experience preparing BOMs and working with ERP procurement workflows and material tracking. Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical drawings and Bluebeam for PDF review and markups. Strong familiarity with medium-voltage equipment (switchgear, transformers, breakers), protective relays, and power system coordination. Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC) and experience ensuring code compliance. Experience with project documentation, construction support, commissioning, and site troubleshooting. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills; ability to mentor junior staff and work collaboratively across disciplines.
