Senior Electrical Engineer
This position is eligible for remote work. To be eligible for a full-time remote position, the candidate must reside in Michigan and live within 1-2 hours of the SSOE Troy, Michigan office to ensure availability for periodic in-person collaboration in the office and client engagementWhy Join SSOE? Investigate existing electrical systems to determine the scope of work required to complete a project.
Assign specific design tasks or calculations to lower-level engineering and design support staff.
Typical design tasks include power distribution at low and medium voltage, lighting and lighting controls and calculations, grounding system design, and power study analysis.
Understanding of 3D modeling and capabilities with Revit softwareProvide working knowledge of project design, construction, design software, cost, and scheduling on assigned projects.
Review shop drawings, respond to RFI's, and attend on-site meetings during the construction phase.
Assist in the development of business unit design standards and specifications.
SSOE
PE license is preferred.
LC Certification is a plusMinimum of (11) eleven full-time years of related experience at a professional services firm required.
Good working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).Understanding Arc-Fault/Arc-Flash/and breaker coordination electrical studiesApplication of energy codes, including
