Sr Controls Engineer

As a Senior Controls Engineer with the Ride Control Team, you will develop and implement control systems for complex automated industrial laundry applications to enhance our guest experience. We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer that can contribute to the development of control systems across multiple automated laundry & textile facilities. You will design, commission and support the electrical and electronic systems that control industrial laundry equipment, applying expertise in electrical design and multi-language software development for industrial controls. We seek an individual that works well both individually and as a member and leader of a project team. This position is a Full-Time Hybrid role based in Lake Buena Vista, FL , and will report to a Manager of Ride Controls.

Responsibilities/You will:

Develop electrical and automated designs for interfaces to high volume automated washing, drying, sorting and folding systems. Develop software architecture and coding for Embedded Systems, Rockwell and Siemens PLCs Develop and troubleshoot software and hardware on motion control VFD and servo systems Develop hardware and software design documents Develop safety analysis documents used in safety critical applications Develop and troubleshoot software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans Required Qualifications/You will have: 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls. Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++ Experience designing and architecting control systems hardware to UL 508a, e.g. Motor Control Cabinets, IO enclosures, field sensors, cabling, etc. Experience in AC and DC Drive programming and tuning Experience in safety related control systems Experience in software development planning and documentation Experience in version control and collaboration software tools Knowledge of industrial network protocols, AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP and Ethernet IP Experience in software testing and commissioning Experience drawing, interpreting and marking up AutoCAD assemblies and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on industrial automated laundry facilities and related equipment. Experience in the entertainment ride and show industry Familiar with

IEC - 61131

using Ladder Diagram and Structured Text Experience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devices Experience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standards Knowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic servo control systems

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Education:

Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
