Job Description

Location:
Tafton, PA hybrid with the ability to access the office is preferred, but for a exceptionally qualified candidate we would consider fully remote fully remote employees are still expected to travel 50% of the time for on-site commissioning. As a Senior Controls Engineer focused on SCADA and Industrial Control System (ICS) projects, you will review designs, develop and implement control system solutions, and provide ongoing technical support. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation, control system architecture, and plant operations, along with the ability to lead complex engineering projects and support field commissioning activities. Education and Experience 5-7+ years of experience in industrial electrical controls, automation, control systems, instrumentation, and process design.
Qualifications:
Proficient with Rockwell Automation platforms, including Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, CCW, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, and PlantPAx, with the ability to develop from the ground up, modify, troubleshoot, and support process control applications. Experience developing and supporting HMI applications using PanelView, Maple Systems, and similar operator interface platforms. Experience with GE/Emerson, AutomationDirect, and/or Inductive Automation Ignition a plus. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, HART, ControlNet, and DeviceNet. Understanding of industrial process engineering and control system design principles. Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings across a range of industrial processes. Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of AC/DC control circuitry and industrial control panel design. Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, and related equipment. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable NFPA standards. Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
