Test Tools Engineer Location:
New Kensington, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are representing an opportunity for a Test Tools Engineer to support the design, development, and refinement of automated test equipment for electromechanical biomedical devices. This role plays an important part in improving testing efficiency, quality, and reliability while supporting new product development and verification activities.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop software applications for automated test equipment used in integration and testing activities. Design electronic and mechanical hardware for automated test systems. Collaborate with drafting teams, model shops, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to improve assembly and test equipment. Author and review software verification and validation documents, while supporting compatibility and interoperability testing for new technologies and platforms.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development using National Instruments LabVIEW, C# with a willingness to learn LabVIEW basics, or Web Development with a willingness to learn LabVIEW or C# basics. Experience designing mechanical jigs and fixtures; CAD experience is a plus. Ability to write clear and professional reports, test specifications, and procedures. Experience performing basic and statistical analysis. Experience in medical device manufacturing is strongly preferred.
