Electrical Engineering Coordinator

Electrical Engineering Coordinator leads shipboard electrical design and coordination from preliminary design through final implementation for commercial maritime and military vessel systems. Job is onsite in North Kingstown. Sponsorship now or in the future is not offered. Job Requirements BS in Electrical, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering (Substantial industry experience may be considered in place of a degree) Five plus years of shipbuilding expereince (tugboats, barges, steel hull vessels, etc) Experience with vessel electrical systems, machinery monitoring, power controls, and displays Experience with AC drives, motors, transformers, and control circuits Ability to develop schematics and revise electrical drawings through engineering change requests Proficiency with ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of shipboard systems, including piping, hydraulics, and HVAC Ability to understand and interpret ABS and Coast Guard rules and regulations Job Responsibilities Lead electrical work and equipment design from preliminary design through final implementation Direct and oversee the day-to-day activities of the electrical team Partner with internal and external customers and vendors to support design manufacturability and continuous improvement Develop schematics and revise electrical drawings through ECRs Support the design and integration of vessel electrical systems, machinery monitoring, power controls, and display systems Apply knowledge of AC drives, motors, transformers, and control circuits to electrical design work Coordinate electrical design activities to meet deadlines and support on-time delivery Work across related shipboard systems, including piping, hydraulics, and HVAC Interpret and apply ABS and Coast Guard rules and regulations to design and implementation work #GRP2 Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
