Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen, SD. This position is responsible for leading electrical design on building and infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing electrical plans and specifications, performing load calculations, coordinating with other disciplines, and reviewing shop drawings and submittals. The engineer will attend project meetings, respond to RFIs, support construction administration, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and designers, participating in quality control reviews, and contributing to project scheduling and budgeting. Possibility for working remote but must reside in South Dakota. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Engineering for building and infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, including applied Electricity principles. Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution system design, including load calculations and equipment selection. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; PE license or ability to obtain one is preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or similar environments, with demonstrated project leadership. Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (such as AutoCAD and Revit) and familiarity with the National Electrical Code and related standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per yearBenefits:
