Franklin Engineering specializes in industrial design, specialty material handling, environmental process and sustainability services for the private sector, as well as the Department of Defense and its sub-contractors. Our staff consists of mechanical, electrical, chemical and environmental engineers. About thePosition:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with the Franklin Engineering team to support a wide variety of design projects to support our clients. From 15kV distribution systems, to 480V motor controls, to 24V instrumentation and controls, you will participate in all aspects of industrial plant design. You will work with other Franklin engineers of different disciplines to deliver quality designs to support our clients' success. As a design engineer, you will interact with clients, contractors and vendors during the design process, all the way through project construction and startup.Responsibilities:
Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality designs within budget and timelines Provide electrical system solutions to ensure successful projects Develop project documentation and drawings, including: o Power System One-Lines o Motor Control Circuits o Contractor Scope of Work Packages o Equipment Specifications Participate in process, equipment and control design reviews Provide project startup support, as needed Essential qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited institution Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) license, including passing of the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or eligible to sit for the FE exam within one year. 5 years in electrical engineering/design in power systems and/or I/C Strong communication skills Detail orientedPreferred Experience:
Electrical Constructions Standards (National Electrical Code) Power Equipment Design (Switchgear, Switchboards, Transformers) Motor Controls and VFDs Power System Models and Studies using commercial software (ETAP, SKM, etc…) Benefits include: 401(k) Plan, Health / Dental / Life / Vision insurance, Paid time off, Pay for time >40/week, Employee training/development opportunities.
