Full-Time Specifications & Scope of Responsibility Provide design support on facility and infrastructure design projects under general supervision from more senior staff. Effectively leads electrical design efforts on small to moderate projects. Works with entry-level engineers and designers. Study design criteria, codes, and standards and incorporate required design practices into production of design deliverables. Develop conceptual and detailed designs for facilities and infrastructure projects based on scope of project, design criteria and applicable codes and standards. Assist with gathering field data to support development of design deliverables. Review and observe construction progress on projects to verify compliance with design deliverables (e.g. RFI responses, progress observation reports, etc.) Duties to include specifications, calculations, studies, reports, shop drawing review, construction administration. Coordinate with other designers and technicians of other disciplines to complete assignments. Attend client meetings to discuss facility infrastructure needs. Education Experience & Certifications Professional Engineer License (PE) in Electrical Engineering required. Experience providing facility Electrical System design services required. BS graduate in Engineering from an ABET accredited school required. 5 to 10 years' experience in building design of power, lighting, fire alarm and secondary electrical systems. Work within a team coordinating with other trades and designers. Experience with medium voltage electrical design preferred. Experience with power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, and/or Easypower preferred. Experience with creating construction specifications preferred. Experience with use of 3D BIM/Drafting/Modeling tools for creation of design deliverables is preferred. Proficiency with Autodesk
REVIT 3D
modeling. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Duties will typically be performed in an office environment, at construction sites for new facilities, or at existing facilities undergoing renovation. Periodic travel will be required for site visits and client meetings.
