Job Description

Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer responsible for designing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Job Requirements Experience with electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering for water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects. Experience supporting municipal water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, or similar process facilities. Experience developing and reviewing P&IDs. Experience developing instrumentation and control I/O lists. Knowledge of analog and digital instrumentation systems. Experience with transmitter installation, instrument loops, and control system I/O integration. Experience with PLC, SCADA, or DCS platforms. Experience designing instrumentation cable and raceway systems. Experience preparing construction drawings and technical specifications. Knowledge of electrical hazardous location design requirements. Experience developing control narratives and process control philosophies. Experience using Revit for control system and instrumentation design documentation. Preferred Skills Experience developing control system network architecture drawings. Experience with Division 40 instrumentation and control specifications. Experience developing instrumentation installation plans. Experience coordinating with process control engineers and system integrators. Experience producing control system design packages for panel design and system integration. Experience supporting projects from concept development through detailed design and construction support. Experience integrating electrical and control systems with process engineering requirements. Job Responsibilities Provide electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering support for water and wastewater projects. Review and provide instrumentation input for P&IDs developed by process engineering. Develop instrumentation and control I/O lists. Develop control system network architecture drawings in Revit. Design cable and raceway systems for control system interconnections. Develop designs for electrical systems in hazardous locations. Create instrumentation and controls installation plans in Revit. Develop Division 40 specifications for instrumentation, control equipment, and process control systems. Develop process control narratives in coordination with process control engineering. Define instrumentation requirements, control philosophies, and system interfaces. Specify analog and digital instrumentation, transmitters, and related control devices. Develop control system integration requirements for PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms. Prepare construction documents and technical specifications for system implementation. Develop design packages for system integrators to complete control panel and system designs. Review control system design submittals and support construction-phase engineering activities. Coordinate electrical and controls requirements with process and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
