Job Overview We are currently seeking a Dallas-based Director of Low Voltage Installation for direct hire with a high-end Security client. This individual will support an approximate $30 million P&L, expected to grow to $50-60 million in 2027. The current organization structure includes 2 Installation Managers, 8 Project Managers, 2 Account Executives, 15-20 Technicians, and 1 Project Coordinator. Managing performance, setting clear expectations and driving execution is pivotal in this role. The ideal candidate profile includes strong operational leadership experience managing teams that include both Project Managers and Technicians. This position will pay up to 170k annually, with flexibility as necessary for candidates that directly fit the ideal profile. In addition to annual salary, there is a $195 biweekly auto allowance, a gas card, company laptop and cell phone, and 20% bonus potential. 2 weeks of vacation, 4 personal days, 5 sick days and 8 paid holidays annually. Duties Lead the design, planning, and execution of low voltage electrical systems projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management to ensure timely delivery within scope and financial parameters. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during all project phases including permitting, design review, installation, and commissioning. Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy and compliance with electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Manage procurement processes utilizing construction estimating tools like HeavyBid and Primavera P6 for accurate cost forecasting. Supervise site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed in accordance with NFPA 70 compliance requirements. Oversee project documentation including construction drawings using Bluebeam or ProCore software for efficient communication and record-keeping. Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and maintain alignment with project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software. Ensure all electrical systems are designed and installed in accordance with local building codes and NFPA standards. Lead team development initiatives by mentoring engineers and technicians in electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system design best practices. Skills Extensive experience managing large-scale electrical low voltage projects within the construction industry. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Prolog, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for cost analysis. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, system design, construction estimating tools like HeavyBid, and construction scheduling techniques. Deep understanding of electrical building codes including NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Skilled in construction drawing review, schematic interpretation, and system integration. Proven ability to manage project budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development, communication clarity, and stakeholder engagement. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict timelines. Knowledge of permitting processes involving local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs). Strong organizational skills complemented by effective time management strategies.
