POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Electrical Engineer design and implement electrical systems used in industrial automation machinery and material handling systems. The engineer applies electrical engineering expertise to ensure effective and efficient system design. Engagement across departments is essential to achieving CASI's goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Champion CASI's Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to CASI's success. Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems used in automation machinery and material handling equipment. Assist in developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and input/output lists using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical. Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical drawing packages to ensure procurement accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams to support electrical system projects including conveyors, automation machinery, and related equipment. Assist in testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks related to electrical engineering projects. Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments. Ability to work and interact well with others.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Act as a liaison between the engineering team and clients, addressing technical queries and providing updates on project progress. Identify areas for process improvement, implement new methodologies, and streamline procedures for increased efficiency and productivity.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of applicable engineering experience or equivalent, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Required Skills Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical. Good written and oral communications. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Preferred Skills Familiarity with industrial automation systems, material handling equipment, or electrical systems. Hands-on skills in assembly, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. Proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals and principles.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment. Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Willing to travel. (Up to 10%) .
